They are ruggedly built to withstand years of heavy usage and are available in binocular and trinocular formats. The interpupillary distance adjustment is from 52mm - 75mm. With a zoom ratio of 6 3:1 and a working distance of 115mm they provide superior optical performance at an affordable price. Each configured system below has WF10x/22 mm eyepieces. Unitron Gemological Z850

This gemological stereo zoom microscope features darkfield illumination and a superior quality optical system found in microscopes costing hundreds of dollars more. It features a zoom ratio of 7:1 with a wide magnification range of 8- 50x. The side mounted zoom controls are precise for continuous changing of the magnifications without refocusing. High point eyepieces of 10x are standard & offer a large field of view (22mm). There is a large working distance of 115 mm so there is plenty of room with the included wire stone holder. The adjustable interpupilliary distance is from 52mm to 75mm for precise focusing between both eyes. The lighting system is variable LED incident 12v/2w and transmitted 12v/4w with a universal power supply.  The system includes a darkfield condenser with adjustable iris diaphragm and wire stoneholder. A frosted glass stage plate in base provides evenly diffused illumination. A black & white contrast plate is also included. The finish is chemical & scratch resistant. Additional eyepieces and supplemental lenses are available.
