The Steindorff digital microscopy cameras are low lux .028 and ideal for most any application including brightfield, darkfield, phase contrast, DIC and fluorescence. They allow for live video viewing on your computer or laptop at up to 30 frames per second via a USB 2.0 connection. The cameras are Direct Show and TWAIN compliant compatible. The Steindorff CFW-1300 Series is an 8-bit FIREWIRE digital camera designed for a variety of microscopic imaging applications. There are two models available, one in color the other momochrome. Each camera features 1.4 Mpixels (1360 x 1024 resolution) that are well suited for bright-field, dark field, and fluorescence imaging situations. Technology is based on a Sony ICX250 CCD ½ " sensor with a frame rate of 7.5 frames per second and 30 fps in preview mode. Operation of this camera is simple, just plug into the FIREWIRE port on your computer and install the software.
