Their manufacturing and assembly facilities are located in India and in the United States. LABOMED is incorporated in the United States DBA Labo America, Inc. Mel Sobel Microscopes Ltd., located in New York is a principal distributor of LABOMED Microscopes worldwide.
The product line includes all types of optical and digital microscopes for educational, medical, research and industrial applications. The manufacturing of microscopes involves a very high level of precision both in mechanical and optical engineering. LABOMED aims to excel in this field by providing maximum emphasis on machining and in optical glass working. Recently a new generation of production for optics was acquired from LOG Germany and Vertical Machining Centre in Europe.
LABOMED’S manufacturing facility encompasses approximately 20,000 Sq. in modern facilities worldwide. There are over 200 highly experienced engineers, technicians and operators employed. Each microscope is inspected with the latest inspection and measuring tools. All efforts are given to provide the highest quality in microscopes and customer service.

The Digi Star features a turret magnification changer with dual magnification. The binocular head is inclined 45 degrees and has a low lux 1/3" CCD built in image sensor. There are two models to choose from, one with 10x and 30x magnification, the other with 20x and 40x magnification. The illumination system is halogen UL and CE certified with both incident and transmitted light. It comes with a universal power supply 110/240v. Labomed CSM2 Stereo Turret Series
This series is ideal for educational and industrial applications. The binocular body has an IPD range of 54-74mm, is inclined 45 degrees and rotates 360 degrees. Wide field focusable 10x/18mm oculars with eye shields are standard on all models. Illumination is achieved from a dual light stand with universal power supply 110v-240v which is both UL and CE approved. This series is designed for university and medical uses. It incorporates many features and designs that are available by higher priced manufactures into a package that will save you up to $1,500+. There are several configurations available in either a binocular Sidentopf tube, trinocular and a dual view teaching configuration. Choose between PLAN or a Phase Infinity Corrected Objectives. All models feature a Sidentopf tube 30 degrees inclined, IPD 52-75mm with a quintuple reversed nosepiece ball bearing type. The stage is rectangular 150 x 135mm double plated wimechanical stage cross 76 x 50 mm and a coaxial control. Below the stage is an ABBE condenser that centrable with a N.A. 1.25 with aspheric lens, iris diaphragm and blue filter. This series incorporates superior features, optics and design all in one package for critical viewing in medical, laboratory and research applications. The ergonomic tiltable binocular tube goes from 0-25 degrees and has an I.P.D. range of 52-75mm. This feature allows for personalized viewing comfort with an extra long IPD range for narrow vision. The supplied 10x wide field eyepieces offer an extra wide (23mm) field of view. A quintuple reverse action nosepiece is standard for precise magnification changes.
